Tour information

Upon arriving to Wadi Rum meeting and greeting  at our office in Rum Village, Hosting a cup of tea, introducing the Bedouin guide and preparing to start the tour.

We will pass through Rum Village and our first stop will be a visit to Lawrence’s Spring, which is one of the most accessible sights in the desert. It is said that Lawrence of Arabia washed at this spring during the Arab Revolt of 1916. Inscriptions can also be found on a nearby rock. And the option to climb up to see the spring in the mountain also get amazing few above the desert

From here we will head East and take time to visit the large red dune of Wadi Umm Ishrin, although hard work to climb, it is great fun to run or sandboard down.

Almost immediately across from the dune are the Khazali Canyon and Inscriptions. This mountain has various Thamudic and Nabataen inscriptions, as well as ancient drawings of animals and humans dating to 300 BC!

From here we will turn to the South and visit Lawrence’s House, while nobody is certain that this was actually the home of Lawrence, although there are stories that he both stayed and/or stored weapons here. The current structure is built upon the remains of a Nabataean building, however, and it’s another beautiful spot in the desert.

From Lawrence’s House, we will travel to Abu Khashabah Canyon; this beautiful canyon can be walked easily in around 30-40 minutes. The surroundings provide wonderful photo opportunities framed by dramatic rock formations and the views are particularly dramatic at sunrise and sunset when the rocks take on an orange glow. Your guide will drop you off on one side of the canyon and you will meet him on the opposite side.

He will prepare you a real Bedouin lunch there.

After lunch, we will have a chance to view amazing naturally-formed rock bridges. Um Frouth is a natural rock bridge that takes around ten minutes to climb and has a height of 20m.

Next stop, a high point from where you will get an ample view of the gorgeous landscape – the line between the white and red desert.

Wadi rum sleep under the stars

Last but not least, a popular rock formation known as the Chicken Rock because of its unusual shape, which visitors claim looks like a chicken.

Before sunset, we will head to the sunset place, and begin to set up our fire for the sunset tea cup.

After the sun has left us for the evening we will transport back to our office in Rum Village at the end of the trip
