Wadi Rum Real Bedouin Life Experience Tour Itinerary
Your journey in Wadi Rum begins with an authentic introduction to traditional Bedouin life. This two-day, two-night experience gives you ample time to explore the stunning desert landscape and fully immerse yourself in local culture and traditions.
Upon arrival at 10:30 AM, you will be warmly welcomed at our office in Wadi Rum Village with traditional Bedouin tea. We will introduce you to Bedouin customs and traditions to help you feel comfortable during your stay with the local family. You will also receive a detailed overview of the program, along with time to ask any questions before your adventure begins.
After the welcome, we will drive together to the family’s home, located in the heart of the Wadi Rum desert. Upon arrival, you will be introduced to the family members and welcomed into their traditional Bedouin home. Here, you will experience true desert hospitality with coffee and stories. In accordance with ancient Bedouin customs and deep respect for privacy, men stay in the men’s section of the tent, while women stay in the women’s section to enjoy their own private space
During your stay, you will have the opportunity to take part in daily Bedouin activities that provide a truly authentic cultural experience, including:
Preparing traditional Bedouin tea and coffee over an open fire
Collecting firewood and helping prepare the evening campfire
Assisting in cooking traditional dishes such as zarb or mansaf

What kind of traditional food will be served?
You will share traditional meals with the family, which may include iconic dishes such as Zarb (food cooked in an underground oven) or Mansaf. You will also learn to prepare traditional Bedouin tea and coffee over an open fire and help bake bread on a Saj or make traditional Shrak bread.
