FAQ
Common Questions About This Experience
Where exactly will we sleep, and is it comfortable?
You will sleep in a secluded, scenic location deep in the desert, far from any artificial lights. We provide a thick mattress, clean pillows, and several heavy Bedouin blankets to keep you warm. Many guests find it more comfortable and peaceful than sleeping in a tent!
Is it safe to sleep out in the open desert?
Yes, it is 100% safe. You will be accompanied by an experienced local Bedouin guide who stays nearby throughout the night. We choose safe, sheltered spots away from the wind to ensure you have a secure and relaxing experience under the Milky Way.
What facilities are available for toilets and showers?
This is a wild camping experience designed to be as authentic as possible. There are no fixed bathrooms in the open desert. However, you can use the showers and toilets at our main camp before we head out to the stargazing spot or when we return the following morning for breakfast.
Will I be cold during the night?
It depends on the season. In summer, the nights are generally warm and pleasant, perfect for sleeping in the open air. In winter, desert temperatures can drop significantly and feel quite cold. However, we provide high-quality, heavy Bedouin blankets and thick mattresses to ensure you stay warm and cozy regardless of the season.
Can I pay for this tour by credit card?
Payment is in cash only. There are no card machines or ATMs in the desert or Wadi Rum Village. Please ensure you have enough Jordanian Dinars (JOD) before arriving.
