Traditional Bedouin Tents
Made in the style of the traditional bait al-shaar, using goat hair, with wooden floors, curved half-moon-shaped roofs, and waterproof construction for protection during changing weather.

Private Desert Tents

Your Tent Is Not the Only Place to Sleep
Guests who book accommodation at Khaled's Camp can choose to spend the night outside their tent, beneath the stars.
We provide a mattress, carpet and blanket so you can make a simple sleeping place directly on the desert ground. There is no fixed bed for this experience — you sleep close to the sand and open sky, surrounded by the quiet of Wadi Rum.
The Desert Changes Completely After Dark
During the day, the desert is filled with light, colour and movement. After dark, the landscape becomes quiet and the sky takes over. Spend the evening around the fire with a cup of Bedouin tea, enjoy dinner, listen to the sounds of the desert, or simply sit outside and look toward the mountains.
On clear nights, the lack of city lights makes the stars one of the main attractions of staying in the desert — for many travellers, this is the part of Wadi Rum they remember most.
A Taste of the Desert
Your stay is also a chance to experience traditional food prepared in the desert. One of the highlights is Zarb, a traditional Bedouin meal cooked underground using the heat of the fire.
Breakfast and lunch include familiar local foods such as bread, yogurt, cheese, olives and other simple dishes. Tea and water are available throughout your stay, giving guests time to sit together and enjoy the slower rhythm of desert life.
