Who We Are
Born in the Wadi Rum Desert. Raised by the Sand. Guided by Tradition.
I’m Khaled Sabbah Atieg, and I was born and raised in the majestic Wadi Rum Protected Area. For generations, my family has called this land home—and has been one of the first to welcome travelers to explore its wonders.
At Khaled’s Camp, we combine decades of local experience with authentic Bedouin hospitality, creating customized tours and memorable desert stays unlike any other.
Our Heritage & Mission
Guided by the wisdom of our elders, I’ve inherited a deep respect for our land, its customs, and the art of Bedouin hospitality, a tradition we proudly pass on to every guest.

To share the beauty, silence, and soul of the Wadi Rum desert in a way that is authentic, safe, and unforgettable.

I’m not alone in this endeavor. Khaled’s Camp is supported by a dedicated team of local clansmen, all committed to the smooth operation of our camp and the tours we offer.
We are passionate about passing down the knowledge entrusted to us by our elders, along with the expertise we’ve gathered over the years, to the next generation. This ensures the continuity of our traditions and the delivery of exceptional experiences.
During the peak seasons of fall and spring, our team expands to include additional Bedouin members from Rum Village. Each one shares our unwavering dedication to providing top-tier tourism services.
About Our Camp
Nestled 12 km from Wadi Rum Village, our camp is located in one of the most scenic areas of Wadi Rum, ideal for sunrise and sunset views.

Getting To Wadi Rum Protected Area
Reaching us is simple, whether you’re coming from Amman, Aqaba, or Petra:
- From Amman: Use JETT or Trust Bus to Aqaba, then transfer to Wadi Rum
- From Petra: Daily local buses to Rum Village at 6:00 a.m. (reserve through your hotel)
- Private Taxi or Car Rentals available across Jordan
We also provide direct transportation services from any location in Jordan to our camp, and back again
